Our Story

The 18-hole Interlochen Golf Club opened in 1965. Designed by Hubert Morris, this semi-private course measures 6415 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 130 and a 70.5 USGA rating.

The club dining room was named the Hagan Room after the dashing professional golfer Walter Hagan. Hagan won eleven professional majors and was a regular at the club after he retired to Traverse City.

In 2016, the course was purchased by Brad Dean. Dean, an award-winning Michigan PGA golf professional who served as the Director of Golf at Crystal Mountain Resort for 23 years, is writing the next chapter of the course. Improvements to the course conditions and aesthetic changes have enhanced the golf experience, managed by Golf Superintendent, Jim Harris.

The original building, built in 1964, has been completely updated and is the home of Bradley’s Pub & Grille, a four-season restaurant with smokehouse menu and entertainment.
